The Fortuner 4X4 Challenege teamed 4 professional atheletes with 4 sports enthusiasts and put them through their paces in various challenges, competing against one another for the chance to win a brand new Toyota Fortuner worth more than R400 000.


In the end, Dawie Leonard, a school teacher from George, drove away in the new Fortuner.

Dawie was teamed up with Cyclelab director and multiple Cape Epic winner Andrew McLean. The team put on an imperssive demonstration of physical endurance and mental strenght, all the qualities needed to ensure them overall victory.


The Fortuner 4X4 Challenge consisted of 7 seperate events, including the Garmin Rush, Conrad Pezula Flame Masters, Toyota Speed Shot, Supersport Fortuner Shuffle, Salomon Up and Down Trail Run, Thule Paddle and Load, and Specialized Mountain Mayhem.

The event took place at the Conrad Pezula resort in the scenic Knysna area.

Other celebs include Dakar champion Giniel de Villiers, Currie Cup winning rugby player and member of the Blitzbokke; Ryno Benjamin, and Toyota Cheetah Raymond Rhule.
