FIAT Professional has unveiled the all-new FIAT Fullback pick-up truck at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show. The new, medium-duty pick-up will join the award-winning FIAT Professional range in 2016 and will be available with a practical single-cab or double-cab body style configuration in South Africa making it an ideal vehicle for both commercial and leisure time activities.
The Fullback will be launched in the third quarter of 2016 in South Africa with a line-up that includes Single-Cab with a 4×2 drivetrain and Double-Cab with 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains.
All versions of the Fullback have a maximum height of 1,780 mm and are up to 1,815 mm wide with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The length varies depending on the configuration – 5,155 mm (Single Cab) and 5,285 mm (Double Cab). Also the length of the cargo compartment changes – 2,265 mm (Single Cab) and 1,520 mm (Double Cab). The payload capacity, according to the configuration, comes up 1,100 kg.
Locally the Fullback pick-up truck will be available with two engine options – a 2.5-litre diesel with a power output of between 100kW or 131kW and a 2.4-litre petrol engine that delivers 97kW. All engines feature five-speed manual transmissions.
The Fullback is FIAT Professional’s first contender in the medium-duty pick-up truck segment in the EMEA region, which totalled 675,000 units in 2014 representing 23% of total sales in the LCV segment.
Visitors to the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show will also be able to see the FIAT Fullback equipped with a selection of special accessories currently under development by Mopar, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles’ brand for after-sales service, customer care, genuine spare parts and accessories.
All Fiat Professional products are sold and serviced through selected Fiat dealerships countrywide.
