Mercedes has released their new facelifted CLA45 AMG and CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake. The new models will now come standard with a host of things that were optional before. In the words of Mercedes, “Avant-garde meets Driving Performance”.

The exterior of the car has also seen some work, with its new A-wing design splitter in the front, and a redesigned spoiler and diffuser at the back. All this means that the new model is more aerodynamic than before.

The interior has been similarly upgraded. The instrument panel is upholstered as standard in ARTICO man-made leather, this is offset by the red stitching throughout.

Power is up from 265- to 280 kW, with 475 Nm. This makes the CLA45 one of the most powerful cars in its segment. 0-100 km/h is done in 4.2/4.3 seconds (figures for Coupé/Shooting Brake). Whilst still retaining fuel consumption of just 6.9 l/100 km.
