Mazda’s award winning little city car has proven it’s worth thus far.
Innovative features like the intelligent i-ELOOP system, which uses braking to regenerate electricity to power things like the headlights, aircon and even electric components in the engine, and Mazda’s clever SKYACTIV Technology has helped cement the Mazda 2 as one the firm favourites in the B segment.
Other stand-out features include the MZD Connect system and the incredibly ergonomic interior. The materials used are of the highest quality, and make for a luxurious-feeling interior.
This example is powered by Mazda’s rather brilliant SKYACTIV-D 1.5-litre diesel, producing 77 kW and 220 Nm, courtesy of a small variable geometry turbocharger. 0-100 is done in 10.1 seconds, with a top speed of 178 km/h. Fuel consumption is a mere 3.4l/100km, which means CO2 emissions of only 89g/km.
